Steve oversees the day-to-day management of the audit team in Brisbane and the Gold Coast and is an experienced financial management consultant and virtual cfo.
Steve is a qualified chartered accountant with more than a decade’s experience in auditing and financial management, both in the UK and Australia.
He has experience working within all industries and a particular focus on not-for-profits.
Beyond compliance, Steve is committed to helping his clients grow their businesses and achieve their strategic goals.
His diverse experience means he’s quick to identify issues, detect opportunities for improvement and can deliver a seamless audit experience for clients.
Steve also understands the importance of having strong financial insights underpinning key business decisions. Steve leads the external CFO division here at MGI, providing a variety of clients with on-demand, high-level financial management, reporting options and virtual CFO support.
As Associate Director, Steve is also responsible for developing the team culture within the audit division and ensuring clients are provided with exceptional service.

- managing the MGI audit portfolio of large and medium private clients, not-for-profit entities and government organisations
- nominated preferred supplier of both the Queensland Audit Office and Electoral Commission Queensland
- expert in fraud detection and identifying practical improvements to internal controls.
