smartAR Finance (Australia), a member of the group, is headed by Managing Director Cherie O’Toole who founded her own company in this field over 12 years ago. With over 25 years’ experience Dave and Cherie bring to the group and our clients, a mutual passion and skills to help businesses of all sizes improve their cash flow and grow their business.
Historically working almost exclusively with Accounting and Law firms, smartAR are happy to announce following growing requests from our firms to provide our products and services to their clients; we are now expanding into new markets including other service providers and select commercial industries.

Cherie O’Toole

Previously the Founder and Managing Director of FeePay Funding, Cherie is now the Managing Director of smartAR (Finance) Australia, as a result of the two companies merging in April 2018.
With over 20 years of experience in the professional services sector, Cherie has worked personally with many of the top-tier and mid-tier Accounting and Legal firms in Australia. Her enthusiastic passion for customer service excellence and delivering positive customer experiences, has resulted in long term relationships with many prestigious and highly regarded firms throughout the country.
Tertiary qualified in Business and Marketing, Cherie has proven capabilities and a track record of high achievement in marketing, management and financial services.
Highly passionate about empowering women in the workplace and overcoming gender inequity in boardrooms and across leadership roles, Cherie is also a member of Women on Boards and Women in Finance.

Founder and Group Managing Director
With a Bachelor of Law under his belt, Dave decided that Law wasn’t for him and instead has spent over 25 years to date, in financial services. Founding The smartAR Group in 2006, Dave is passionate about helping Australian & New Zealand businesses get paid faster.
The businesses within the smartAR Group that Dave leads, seamlessly integrate alternate payment options, best practice debtor and accounts receivable management and expert managed ledger services to ensure their clients businesses are paid more quickly.
Dave is also a long-term member of Rotary and has been Project Leader for their Digital Learning Room (DLR) project for 8 years. DLR is a Rotary project seeking to improve education outcomes in NZ & the South Pacific and the vision for DLR is to help disadvantaged communities use education to reduce inequality and alleviate poverty.
