The network was established in 1947 and now MGI is represented in over 70 countries and around the world by 120 accounting and consulting firms with more than 200 offices.

Partners total 516 and are supported by 3864 staff members with total group turnover of US$218 million. MGI is rated in the top 20 of the worlds largest business advisory groups.

Unlike many other international networks, MGI firms remain independent and locally based enabling them to focus on the particular needs of their local and national markets whilst drawing on the international resources of MGI as required.

In Australasia, MGI has strong representation with member firms in Adelaide , Brisbane , Cairns , Melbourne , Perth , Sydney and Auckland (N.Z.).

MGI Australasia's specialist committees on Audit, Taxation, Business Services, Information Technology and Corporate Recovery set standards and provide a resource for information sharing and service development to each member firm.
